Pettel (“we”, “us”) operates the pettel.ie platform connecting dog owners with licensed kennels in Ireland. Our contact email is support@pettel.ie.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed).
• Dog profiles: breed, age, vet information, feeding instructions, and behavioural notes you provide.
• Booking data: check-in/check-out dates, kennel chosen, and payment status.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
• Communications: messages sent between owners and kennel operators through the platform.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To process and confirm bookings.
• To facilitate payments via Stripe.
• To allow communication between owners and kennel operators.
• To send booking confirmations and status updates.
• To improve and operate the platform.

4. Data sharing

We share your information only where necessary:

• Kennel operators: booking details and dog profile information so they can care for your pet.
• Stripe: payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which permanently removes your personal data.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a data subject under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@pettel.ie.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (JWT tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
